BCM Go Green!

BCM are on the front cover of Network Rail publication “The Shield”, we debut with the first ever female cover model – Jenny Peters, our Environment &  Sustainability Manager.  Read all about our effort to make our Battersea site sustainable and go green scheme; in addition to our charity work – creating a garden walkway for the rehabilitated dogs at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

BCM Construction, Network Rail IP Southern Team, Crewit and Glenamaddy came together to complete volunteer work at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. The 27-strong team carried out the renovation of the gravel path used as a walking route for the homeless and unwanted dogs at the Home. The pathway is now a glorious garden walkway at the iconic London site – see pictures below of the transformation.

BCM are reducing, reusing and recycling with the introduction of our refillable water bottles for all staff and site teams! This significantly reduces the environmental impact of plastic cups – which contribute 79% to the world’s plastic found in landfills.   The bottle is functional, lightweight and complete with a ‘hydration scale’ – encouraging you to drink approximately 2 litres of water a day (as per UK health guidelines) to reduce fatigue and improve health.
